About Dalian Medical University
Dalian Medical University is one of the great choices of international students due to its core educational pedagogy. This leading medical university offers high-quality medical education at a lower cost. University was founded in 1947. DMU is one of the key Universities in Laoning Province. Plastic and Reconstructive surgery is the backbone discipline of this college, the teaching network established throughout China with the core in Dalian. The University occupies an area of 3.44 lakh Sq.m, encompasses 15 Colleges, 5 Teaching Depts., 4 Affiliated Hospitals, nearly 100 bases for Clinical Education & Practice.
Education Base
Total number of Teaching staff, Doctors and Nurses are beyond 4000, among them 230 are Professors, 500 are Associate Professors. UK & US trained faculty takes the classes for undergraduate program.
The English Medium faculty of the University is the most long standing in China, since four years. There are 20 Undergraduate Specialities and Speciality approaches. The total number of enrolled students is upto nearly 12,000 – 1500 in Ph.D and MS Programs & around 10,000 in the Undergraduate Program.
The Teaching condition with comprehensive facilities is superior. There is a more than 5,096 Sq,m Library resourcing 4,00,000 books. It is equipped with a Multi-media learning area, an advanced Electronic reading room, and LAN of Bibliography and Medical Library.
International Co-operation
DMU actively develops Scientific cooperation with Research Institutes and Organizations in Europe, the United States, Australia, Japan etc, and extensively enrolls international students to study in this Campus. Upto now, it has established co-operative relationship and friendship with corresponding Organization between 17 Countries and Regions, built friendships associated with 50 Universities & Institutes in various regions. There are foreign students from US, Germany, Italy and such other 13 countries. More than 100 Indian Students are already studying at the campus.
PG Specialties
There are 29 disciplines that can grant M.D. including physiology, biochemistry & molecular biology, human anatomy & histology and embryology, immunology, pathogenic biology, pathology & pathophysiology, internal medicine, pediatrics, neurology, psychiatry and mental health, dermatology and venereology, imaging and nuclear medicine, clinical laboratory diagnositics, surgery, gynecology & obstetrics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, encology, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, basic medicine of stomatology, clinical science of stomatology, epidemiology and health statistics, occupationed and environmental health, basic discipline of Chinese and western integrative medicine, clinical discipline of Chinese and western integrative medicine, pharmacology, social medicine and health administration and ethics. In 1999, a new specialty of clinical medicine was added and it can issue M.D.
